5F-AKB48 is a drug that binds itself with the receptors of the cannabinoid. It is therefore known as an agonist. As this drug hasn’t been used for scientific or any other purposes related to literature, it is not very well known. It was identified in 2012 and has gained popularity ever since, mainly because of its psychoactive properties. It is used as a synthetic blend mixed with cannabis. Interestingly, the name of the drug also resembles a Japanese music band, but has no relation with the band whatsoever. It was banned in New Zealand in 2012 and has been termed as a temporary class drug. In addition, it was also termed illegal in Japan. Structurally, it is identical to the compounds of cannabinoids derived from the cannabis plant. Cannabis is also known as Marijuana, ganja, hashish, pot etc.
